The CompanyJaczon is a family business set up in 1954 in the Dutch port of Scheveningen . You will still find Jaczon offices here: on the Scheveningen quayside, overlooking the harbour and the fish auction. The harbour front is bustling with activity. Looking out of the office, which is largely made out of glass, you can see forklift trucks come and go. They may for example be transporting palletised fish blocks from a Jaczon stern trawler like the Johanna Maria (120 metres long) into one of the cold stores. These are the headquarters of a company that employs more than 300 people and that operates worldwide in different fields of activities.

FisheriesJaczon started out as a ship-owner focusing on herring fishery and herring trade. Today, our most important activities are still fishing, fish processing and the sales of our own fish products. Operating a fleet of the most advanced fishing vessels, we match the traditional knowledge of the fishing grounds with innovative fish finding, catching and processing equipment.

Over the years Jaczon has built up a considerable reputation in the fishing world. The market for our fish products is worldwide: we export sea-frozen fish to many different countries, from Germany to Japan, from Nigeria to Cuba.

Transportation: the KlippersIn 1975 Jaczon started dealing in the transportation of cooled and frozen goods (in the early days mainly fish ans fish products) and in 1977 our first custom-built reefer vessel was launched: the Klipper. Ever since we have been firmly dedicated to the reefer trade and we have mananged to gain a position as a first class carrier. Our fleet now consists of six innovative reefer vessels.
